iCloud Sync

VoiceNotes App supports iCloud sync. When enabled, your recording data and files will be automatically uploaded to Apple iCloud, allowing you to seamlessly view and edit across multiple devices.

Login to Apple Account

Apple account (also known as "Apple ID") is used to access iCloud and other Apple services. Open "Settings", tap your Apple account at the top, and enter your Apple ID (email address or phone number) and password to complete the login.

If you don't have an Apple account, you can register or get more information about Apple accounts through the Apple Account Support page.

Enable iCloud App Data Sync

After logging in, open "Settings", tap your profile picture at the top to enter Apple account details, then tap "iCloud". Find "Stored in iCloud" and tap "See All". In the "Stored in iCloud" page, find "VoiceNotes" App and set the toggle to "On".

Enable iCloud Drive Sync

Open "Settings", tap your profile picture at the top to enter Apple account details, then tap "iCloud" -> "iCloud Drive", and turn on "Sync this iPhone". Then enter "Apps Syncing to iCloud Drive" page, find "VoiceNotes" App and set the toggle to "On".

Done! After completing the above settings, VoiceNotes App data and recording files will be automatically synced to iCloud.

Recording Storage Location

When iCloud is enabled, recordings will be stored in iCloud; if iCloud is not enabled, recordings will be stored locally in the App.

How to Know Where Recordings are Stored?

In the recording details page, green iCloud icon indicates the recording is stored in iCloud; orange icon indicates the recording is stored locally in the App; red icon indicates the recording file was not found.

What Does "Recording File Not Found" Mean?

When syncing via iCloud, network connectivity is needed to upload files to iCloud. If files haven't had time to upload, they may not be found on new devices. Please wait a moment for iCloud sync to complete. It is recommended to always keep iCloud enabled.

Please always keep iCloud enabled for the best experience.

Voice to Text

VoiceNotes App currently uses Apple's native voice-to-text solution. Tests have found that it works well for single-person speech, but less well for multi-person conversations or noisy backgrounds. For better recognition results, it is recommended to keep the background quiet and speak at a normal pace.

Please note: Voice-to-text accuracy may vary depending on the environment and speaking style.
